Registered Authors___________________________________
The annual PLR results were mailed out to registered authors on 15 February 2012. If you are already registered with the PLR Commission, you should receive your PLR package by the end of February. It contains the following:

  • a Title Earning Summary listing your registered titles;
  • a PLR cheque if your book was eligible and found in one or more of the public library catalogues selected;
  • a personalized File Update form, which we ask you to use to submit new titles or to notify us of any change of address;
  • a T4A tax slip if you received a payment of $500 or more in 2011.

An author may appeal a decision on eligibility by writing to the PLRC before May 1st, 2012. To do so, one must submit an example of the work and a letter explaining how it meets the program's eligibility criteria. The work will be returned after the appeal is reviewed.

You do not need to re-register your titles.

If you are registering for the first time, click here to get a Registration form.

The PLR Commission communicates with authors once a year - every February. If you have sent us a PLR registration form in 2012, the next time you will hear from us will be in February 2013.

If the deadline date falls on a weekend or statutory holiday, the deadline moves to the next business day. Your completed application and all support material must be postmarked on or before the deadline date.

Registrations received outside of the registration period will NOT be accepted and will be returned to the sender.
