Bernice Lever

Bernice LeverBernice Lever (Bowen Island, BC), a founder of WAVES, literary magazine from
1972-1987, has published eight books of poetry, a text: The Colour of Words, and many shorter pieces. Her addiction to committees has involved her in the Canadian Authors Association, League of Canadian Poets, Canadian Poetry Association, and other provincial or local groups of writers. Such contacts have let her read poems across Canada and the US as well as on 4 other continents.

As Writer-in-Residence for two Canadian Authors Association
branches, she continues to indulge in editing and marketing
manuscripts for others: a habit she began at Dundurn Press, 1980's.

Retired from Seneca College's English Department in Toronto, she now gives writing workshops across Canada, when she is not writing or watching the deer walk by the seashore on Bowen Island, BC.

Bernice Lever is the representative of the Canadian Authors Association.
